@realcaseyrollins you know, I'd feel better about this whole strike if these folks were more marginalized, had more need, and were directly linked to the consumer. Instead it's like lawyers, these folks earn their keep, not because they actually performed work people would have paid a specific price for, but a price was charged for their work that they recieved based not on talent or actual value, but because of the other people that were part of the project.
I don't think I'd call these folks marginalized, but they're certainly not rich or entitled for the most part. I think this all boils down to, do actors and writers deserve residuals or not. If they do, than their demands are largely reasonable, but if not, then they're not.
