I haven’t checked the article yet as it’s springing errors for me but was this said in the same breath?
"The Idol was one of HBO's most provocative original programs, and we're pleased by the strong audience response," said an HBO spokeswoman. "After much thought and consideration, HBO, as well as the creators and producers, have decided not to move forward with a second season. We're grateful to the creators, cast, and crew for their incredible work."
I don’t know. It’s kinda funny to me. But yeah I agree with the sentiments here, horrible show.
It's presented in the article as such, yes. It's the find something, literally anything, nice to say first strategy by the looks of it.
I mean from what I hear 100% of the show's issues came from the writing. All the acting and cinematography were great.
