Whenever I try Linux on my laptops, I always seem to have issues with sleep/resume from closing the lid.
While my wife's Macbooks battery lasts for like 18 hours.
I can get ~20hrs of battery life thanks to the fact that I can carry 4 expernal batteries for my laptop, I am using Debian w. Xfce. I also had the issue of it not properly suspending on closing the lid, this solved the issue for me.
Man I have old laptop I love to install Linux on, but don't have jump drive that transfer the software on. How else can install it on my old HP laptop?
Just get a cheap USB stick and throw the Debian iso onto it. Guide on how to do it
Thanks will give it a try.
