Am I missing something? Is this saying there is similarity between an innocent victim of a genocide with someone who is creating a new genocide on another group of people?
The meme is being misused since the situation in the show is 180 degrees from its use in memes. In the show, Pam pranks a dude by giving him two identical pictures and then admits that it's the same picture.
In memes, people thought that Pam was the one that was given the assignment. So in this meme, Pam is US / US government. And to the US there is no difference between pictures when given the assignment of distinguishing between a victim of Holocaust and the current head of Israeli government that is actively comitting genocide.
I dont think it is a misuse when labeling the Pam character differently. It doesnt match the show, but the meme works bothfor things you think are the same and ofr things someone else thinks are the same that is really different.
On the other hand, see how many people are confused.
