For most people it's irrelevant how much they see, read or hear about a problem. On the contrary, they will become fed up and emotionally dulled. A lot of people are powerless anyway. Lobbying some politicians could help, but the rockets every coupla months have to stop or they'll ruin everything again.

People's powerlessness is self-inflicted. We feel powerless because we give legitimacy to the rotten powers that be.

We hope the govermnents will do the right thing, but we know from experience that they will not. We lie to ourselves so we can stay lazy instead of questionning the status quo. We consider the current power structure as a kind of fate, as if it was eternally like this so who are we to try and change it?

We need to dust off the guillotines and more importantly start acting.
