But why not detonate it in the ground?

I'm serious. Did they load it into that truck and detonate it there? Why not clear the area and blow it up under ground?

Here's what the source says:

In Zaporizhzhia, a local farmer found a five-hundred-kilogram high-explosive FAB-500 aerial bomb in his field ๐Ÿ’ฅ

He immediately called the sappers of the State Emergency Service, who removed, transported and destroyed the explosive object in a specially prepared place.
