Ha. Haha. Ha. Ha. My day keeps on getting better. New developments:
A. I cut my finger while making dinner. Well, not even while making dinner, while eating dinner.
B. The motor in the fan in the bathroom seems to have burnt out, and left a gross burning plastic smell through the house. At least I hope it's burnt out, because it's wired to the same circuit as the light, so I can't have the light on without the fan also being on
I've got one of those things as well in my bathroom. I don't trust it at all and find it annoying not being able to turn one or the other on so I just never use it. Why do people even wire it like that?
Hope your finger gets better quickly, always sucks when you get a cut there
Yep, it really annoys me, too. Seems that the motor hasn't fully burnt out, as when I turn it on, I can hear a buzzing (like a stalled fan motor). I don't trust it, and don't really want to take a fire extinguisher with me to the dunny in case it decided to catch fire, so I guess it'll just be a flashlight on the night time dunny runs
Thank you, it's stopped bleeding now so I was able to downgrade to a band-aid rather than bandage and tape. But it's mega sore, and gonna be fun for the next couple of weeks
I settled on a night light being the only source of light in my bathroom and have got used to very dimly lit night showers/bathroom trips. Works really well as it doesn't hurt my eyes whenever I walk into the bathroom overnight and I also don't stub my toes as often as I wound in pure darkness. Might be worth looking into getting one as it can be easy to misplace a torch.
Unfortunately my toilet doesn't actually have a Power point. My bathroom had one installed at my request a few months ago, but I didn't think to ask to have one installed in my toilet. It could possibly be an issue though, as the toilet is a separate room that's quite small, and has a sink that takes up almost a whole wall. I don't know what the standards are for power points in bathrooms, but I don't think it would be possible to keep the power point safe from splashing unless placed up inconveniently high (we have tall roofs, and the sink is already uncomfortably high)
