I would love to race against some cars in a class but not others (they don’t really match the time period/design I’m looking for). Is there a way to choose specific cars in a class to race against, or must I race against the whole class. Thanks

i need to choose between a seat that's tilted (like f1) or 90 degrees (normal car), since i dont have the money for one that can transform between both.

i dont care about realism as im going to drive both kind of vehicles, i just care for comfort. so what do you guys reccomend, whats been your experience so far?

Hi!

Basically, as the title says, I am trying to understand what im supposed to buy in order to have the Moza ks wheel working on my simagic alpha mini. Other than the Moza ks wheel itself (that comes with the qr release), the Moza universal hub kit and the Moza " third-party wheel base mount adapter", what am I missing? I think I should also buy a cable to connect the wheel itself to the hub, or does it come with the hub? Am I also supposed to buy the simagic quick release??

Thanks :)

Currently i'm in the progress of making my existing rig PS5 compatible without spending much money. I already modded my cheap handbrake as seen in another post.

While i'm also planning on adapting my T-LCM to my Fanatec base, i came across those old Fanatec CSR Elite load-cell pedals and decided to give them a try. They came with a lot of completely destroyed elastomers and the one new one was destroyed after just one week of use.. So i thought: My T-LCM are working fine with springs, people are swapping out the elastomers in their CSL LC and CSL Elite's for springs, so why not trying the same here?

The elastomer has a diameter of 12mm and a length of 21mm. As i don't had any clue how hard they would be, i ordered one of those cheap 12x20 die springs in every of the 5 colors. I quickly found out that all but green and brown are too soft.

The next point is that those springs don't compress very much. around 25% for the green and 20% for the brown one. That gives a pedal travel (measured at the top corner) of 18mm for the green and 15mm for the brown spring. Way to less for my taste.

So i replaced this 12x30mm steel piston that presses on the load cell with a 12x10mm steel pin from china. This way i could use 40mm springs to get double the travel!

So i ordered another pair of 20mm springs in green and brown. And some others since i thought this could also allow for the combination of two springs to get a non-linear feel but there was no combination i was happy with..

Of course the piston can be mounted using the different screw holes to get a softer feel and more travel or a harder feel and less travel, and i did also measure the required spring lengths and possible pedal travel for other holes and tried them (yes, i bought way too much springs..) but by far the best option was the second hole from bottom, so the stock mount option.. The bottom-most is way to soft, and the third from bottom gets way to stiff..

But 40mm green or brown springs are working really nice! Brown could be compared to T-LCM with red springs, and the green one is a bit softer like T-LCM with black and grey or so.

I used both for like two weeks and ended with brown for now.

So if someone still has old CSR Elite pedals and searches for a elastomer replacement, this could be worth a try.

I did also replace the clutch and throttle springs but thats not so special i think.. 😁

Hey, I’ve been running a DFGT for over 5 years and want an upgrade. I don’t want to go over €400 for my budget. Should I get the used CSL Elite with the bmw steering wheel and clubsport pedals v2 (load cell) or opt for the new CSL DD bundle which just has the regular pedals? They both go for 400€

The main thing I’m looking for thou is as accurate ffb as possible for the price range

I need a steering wheel extension for my Fanatec DD2. I really like the Sim Lab one, but shipping is almost much as the extension itself. What steering wheel extension options do I have that won't cost me an arm and a leg in shipping?

I had a McLaren GT3 v2 wheel and now I have a round Podium GT wheel.

I thought I would share what caught my attention, it might help others choosing the right wheel:

  • Can't see my tablet (mounted on my dd1) with telemetry that good anymore.
  • I actually liked the heavy duty shifters of the McLaren wheel better (90% of you will disagree)
  • The sturdier aluminum wheel gives me more detailed FFB info, eg driving over curbs feels more realistic
  • No more cracking sounds when turning in on heavy torque (McLaren wheel snapped in the end)
  • Those Rev lights on the podium wheel are waaaaay to bright for my liking (I switched them off)
  • Had to make FFB stronger due to the heavier wheel (and wider)
  • My wheel does not go crazy anymore when I let go due to the increased weight of the wheel
  • I use high torque, and now I can grab the round wheel after accidentally let go. The McLaren wheel would slap my hands so hard, impossible to grab when it was moving.
  • The 2 cm wider wheel makes a big difference.
  • Leather is nice but less grippy than the McLaren which probably has the best grip out there.

If you are considering the McLaren wheel; It is a fantastic wheel for the price. But I would not buy if you are using high torque as the structure has some weak points (mine lasted pretty long on high torque still). The wheel is very light weight and would be ideal if your base has low FFB. This wheel is very allround, good for F1, good for GT cars, a bit uncomfortable driving classic cars but doable.

The Podium wheel is very expensive, but feels premium in every way. Passes the FFB info much better as it is much more rigid. This wheel is also very allround, but less good for F1 (doable) and great for GT or classic cars. I would not get this wheel if you have a low FFB base due to the weight of this wheel. I can finally do rally games!

In general I was very happy with both wheels.

Hi all

Been playing iracing for a little while now and I've made my way to class C. Upto this point I've been mainly racing in the MX5, F1600 and a little in Ferrari challenge but I wish to venture into a different series to spice things up.

What's everyone's fave series to race in and why? (Obviously class C and under) I quite like the look for the gt4 series but want some of your guy's opinions first!

Tia

Hey all,

I pulled the trigger on my first DD system at Fanatec and so far its been lots of hype and nerves, in the positive sense.

Yesterday my order has been marked fully send but i have not yet received a tracking code. Customer service is kinda hard to reach so im curious if its normal it takes upwards of 24h to get the tracking code.

thanks!

Hi, I want to setup a rig for racing and flight sims. I will be using a Moza r5 bundle and a thrustmaster joystick, is there any playseat with support for both, and a monitor mount would be great too! I would also like to keep it under 500 ish USD

Thanks

Do the threads on the table clamp actually break over time if attached properly? Or are all of the posts I’ve seen regarding this issue caused by over tightening?

Considering this is going to be attached to my desk, it will be taken off and put back on again somewhat frequently too if that’s an issue?

Any other shifter advice/options for pc is appreciated.

Thanks.

Reorganizing the setup of my SimLab P1-X in a different room. Any suggestions for castors suitable for heavy-duty use? I've come across feedback about the instability and poor quality of SimLab's own castors.

Curious to know the alternatives that people have found for heavy duty Sim-Racing castors?

Helo! So I've been on and of playing the f1 games and Dirt Rally for a couple of years now and recently discovered Asseto Corsa and I am loving it, the only problem is I am driving with an old Xbox controller. So I’ve been looking to buy a wheel for a better experience and to delve more in to sim racing. Right now I have 3 options the cheapest is the g29 at 260€ish, the T300RS for 350€ or, the Fanatec CSL DD for 512€ I’m not looking in to 2nd Hand market because where I live there is 0 good offers. So my concern is, should I go for the cheapest option to see if I really like sim racing, or go for the midrange option, witch is not much cheaper than to go all in for the CSL DD pack? My concern is this last choice might be too overkill for me what do you guys think?
