I'm having an issue trying to find a good spot to install a new ButtKicker Pro on my TR8 Pro rig. The tube frame is too big for the ButtKicker clamp to fit around and there's nothing else to attach it to under the seat. I have the reclining seat. Has anyone been able to install a ButtKicker Pro on the TR8 or TR8 Pro? Track Racer sells a bracket for $64, but it is insanely expensive. There's got to be a cheaper option.

I am trying to play acc at night, have the 2real traffic thing, and playing at night, but the tail lights for the ai cars go on like, a second before I get to them. Makes it super hard to see them before I crash into them, lol. (I'm brand new to this and a wheel and the whole scene, don't judge me too hatshly!)

Any way to fix or change this that people know of?

I want to get a entry model DD wheel but not sure which one is better. I know the CSL DD is a lower price now for the 5nm and can be upgraded to 8 nm but I am concern about the reliability and customer service of the product. MOZA R5 also catches my eye but I know it’s 100 dollars more. But it looks like it has had less issues with reliability and customer service. Any recommendations on which one I can get. I know threads like this have been made already but I want to get up to date information. Thanks everyone.

Hi guys,

So I currently have the normal CSL pedals and would like to upgrade to a LC brake. I have the following options:

  1. Buy the CSL LC pedal + tuning kit (on my list anyway as I like the aesthetics) for 175€.
  2. Buy the CSL Elite V2‘s for 300€ and sell the normal CSL‘s for 50€. This gives a 75€ diff b/w CSL LC + tuning kit & the Elite V2‘s.

Which would you recommend? The V3‘s are out of budget and I have no use for the clutch so I wasn’t looking at them anyway.

Has anyone gone from a normal CSL LC to a CSL Elite V2? Is it worth the extra 75€?

Cheers!

Hi everyone, I recent ordered the ASR3 from Advanced sim racing and have a Corbeau Baja JP wide seat that I want to mount onto it. Their site says that “Bolts onto factory slider/seat bracket, no adapter required for most applications” and that it is “flat on the bottom as opposed to vertical tabs. This allows it to bolt on Corbeau brackets or a flat mounting surface without having to order a Baja Adapter” . Would I need to order anything extra for the seat to be able to mount on there or could I just bolt it in to the rig by itself? Thanks!

So I’m trying to build a new gaming PC which I’ll use for a lot of stuff but especially sim racing!

I have two LG 32” monitors (2560x1440, 1ms, 165Hz). LG 32GP850B-32

At first I’m wondering if a single 32” monitor is enough for a nice sim racing setup? Or do I need something like a 50” screen?

And going forward if I want to buy another 32” screen, what graphics card do I need to ensure I can run the triple screen setup? For the center screen would I want a 32” or something larger? Space is an issue and I’d probably just order a third identical monitor but it’s possible I could go bigger .

hi all. I'm yet to join the sim racing gang but I love F1 and gaming so figured why not combine the two, which is why ive been spending the last month trying to get my head around how this all works.

I want to firstly start playing F1 23, racing on the tracks I love as I follow the F1 season, and then I'm open to other racing games. My platform is PS5.

From all the reading, video, reviews and compatibility for platforms, I set my sights on having a DD wheel for sure as they sound so much more superior to belt driven wheels and if I'm doing this I want to do it as best I can with the budget I have.

I think the best choice right now is the Fanatec GT DD pro 8nm package with the wheel and pedals included and then I planned to immediately swap the wheel to the CSL Elite McLaren GT3 V2 as I just really like the look of a wheel that is more like a true F1 wheel.

the only problem is Fanatec do not ship to the UAE where I live and the one supplier for Fanatec I found here in Dubai is charging $1600 for that GT DD 8nm bundle. Double the retail price that the Fanatec website charges. Which I could pay but I just don't want to if I can get much more for that sort of money.

so then I started to look at other stuff like the Thurstmaster T-GT II, but its not DD. The Logitec G pro came up and that seems good but it doesn't look as nice at the fanatec set up plus less wheel choices.

there is one Sim racing store here that sells Moza and has the Moza R5 bundle well within my budget but I have no idea if Moza is any good as I didn't see much about it.

Or I considered building my own rig with Moza parts from that shop. For $1600 USD I could get the Moza R12 wheel base, Moza KS wheel and Moza SRP pedals. but I have no idea what this set up would be like as I don't see much about that brand... I have no idea if they are even compatible with PlayStation???

so in short:

should I just bite the bullet and pay double the price ($1600) for the Fanatec GT DD 8nm?

should I get the Logitec pro racing wheel instead?

should I build a rig with pieces from Moza and put it together my self?

what first timer set up would you go for with $1500 budget on a PlayStation?

buy an Xbox because it seems there are way more options for Xbox platform...

sorry for the long post. But I love this community already and how into it you all get with your rigs!

So, i want a rig. The desk wheel and pedals on the floor is good but i want something more. I want something in the 200-350 dollar price range that looks and feels nice. Here's the problem: here in Romania sim racing is not really a thing. People look at your setup and think you're crazy spending that much. Romanains regard everything as a game, and so, sim cockpits aren't really a thing here. That's why fanatec and moza don't even sell here. If you want them you have to order form the company's website. Coming back to rigs, the only option that suits my budget and looks nice is the playseat evolution. However i have heard some bad things about that one. Before you say it, gt omega does not sell here, the only options are: a) get playseat evo b) get next level racing f-gt sim cockpit, which i heard it's better but it's much more exensive. So, what would you choose?

Can someone pointed me to a video where they explain how a race in ACC works? I got into a quick match and pissed everyone off because I was blocking the way thinking that’s what I was supposed to be doing that loading cars pass me.

I have a 50watt BST-1 strapped to my ass and not even at full power the vibration is enough to rattle my VR goggles (which adds a certain element of immersion)

i see people slapping on 30-40 watt pucks to their pedals but is that much really needed?

There are 8ohm 20watt little resonance speakers, which are not only physically smaller but will also run of a much smaller/simpler and cheaper amp

So what's the minimum one needs?

I know its a long time to wait (3 more months... argh!) and there'll probably be tons of competition for people trying to buy the same item - but how are the sales during Black Friday? I saw a video pop up on my Youtube feed saying Fanatec had a sale for 33% off last year... which is pretty nice if you ask me! Wondering if I should wait the 3 more months just in case, or just chalk up the cost right now

Anyone here buy their rig during the holiday season? What kind of savings did you get, and are you glad you waited? Curious to hear your responses!

All prices are in AUD (Australian Buckaroos) I currently play on Xbox and am tossing up between 2 options:

  1. Buy a PC (around 1,500)
  2. Get a Logitech G923 wheel

I'm leaning more towards the pc, then get the wheel as I can have fun with the PC in the mean time while saving for the wheel, and I wouldn't mind using a controller during that time. I just want some other opinions.

I'll start - I drive a 2019 Ford Fiesta ST that I bought new and I've modded to the point that the only way I'll get more power is by upgrading the turbo. It drives like a go kart with its short wheelbase so it can handle better than a lot of other front wheel drive cars. The downside is that it can have quite a bit of understeer but I've learned when to anticipate it so I can adjust in the moment. When running the Dizzy E30 tune (30% ethanol, 70% 93 oct) 1st through 3rd pull so hard you'd think it would have a bigger power plant.

It's the first car that I've wanted to keep passed 1 year. It may not be the fastest car but it's plenty fast for me and often surprises those that line up to it at the light.

What do you drive for fun? I'm really curious!
