I'm not a hockey fan, so don't know anything about the players or even team names. But i just saw i trending. Maybe these 2 teams are rivals, but im wondering why the refs are allowing them to fight. Unlike the NBA, refs always get into the middle to stop any punches but NHL is different. Its not cool for kids to watch, but I'm entertained LOL

Over the past couple of weeks, I've seen a lot of content that's ripping on Arch Linux, from pictures of stickers being removed from laptops, to comments about it having a lot of bloat or frustrating package management. Was there a change to their policies, strategies, or distro that has turned this once proud vessel into a floating psycho ward?

There has been several conservative memes about golf courses going away or liberals taking them away. Did I miss some news about that?

It sounds like he was a bad guy, but I know there's more to the story than that with the collective hate I see for him here on Lemmy.

I've noticed quite a lot of new accounts popping up recently, wondering if something new happened over at Orange Alien HQ or maybe is this just normal growth?

I see news posts about the CEO being fired, all the staff threatening to leave, then the CEO being rehired and the board being fired. What the heck is this all about??

I know they've been around for ages now, but it feels like in the past few years there's been an increasing amount of people making them and trying to start little gigs/businesses of making them.

What's influenced or contributed to this if it's been an actual increase?
