Or am I missing something?

Update

It seems to be a known issue

I tried some F-Droid and Izzy apps and none of them support lyrics.

I suppose that VLC supported this but I didn't find how I can do it at least with audio files.

I thought the store got the update from the repo so theoratically should'nt the website have it if the fdroid app store is taking updates from there ( I am talking about the official fdroid app , the main repo and main site ) or is the official site and repo not the same or am i missing something ?

Either I need the app to forward any received text message to another phone number. This should be reliable, i.e. not stop when the phone is idle/sleeping.

Or, I need to sync all received message to a cloud, Nextcloud, Google Account, proprietary; so that I can read message from another device. This needs to be reasonable secure, i.e. either e2e encrypted or stored to trusted service. I'm willing to trust Nextcloud or google for the purpose. I'm also willing to trust a third-party service when run professionally, but I'm sceptical.

Why is it the case?
Is Tor Private to use after this?

I saw this app had been added recently. It claims that "ANONguard anonymises the Internet connection. In the process, the IP address of the smartphone is hidden with the help of the AN.ON anonymisation service (https://anon.inf.tu-dresden.de/)." Is this real and does what it says? The "anonymisation service" link gives an error to me.

I just noticed today that i no longer have "Simple Gallery Pro" on my phone. It vanished from f-droid, too: https://f-droid.org/packages/com.simplemobiletools.gallery.pro/

I know Simple Mobile tools have been sold to ZipoApps and their future is unclear, but I did not expect the apps to just disappear on f-droid and my phone!

Do you know of any forks yet?

What would be the closest alternative for the gallery?

Can I expect all my "Simple Mobile Tools" apps to just disappear?

Edit: It seems it F-Droid just automatically upgraded to "Fossify Gallery". It just did not replace the icon shortcut in my launcher. So no vanishing, just a silent replacement. I can live with that :). Thanks for all of your helpful replies.

I've mostly been using the official F-droid app, but I've become tired of having to click install every single time there's a new update for an app.
On a new phone I tried starting right away with Neo Store, which I know has that functionality, and in fact I haven't had to confirm installation of updates since on there, but on my old devices where I started with F-droid how can I get that to work?
I believe I read somewhere that for this to work, the apps I want to update automatically need to be installed the first time from within the same app and, even then, only some apps that target Android SDKs from a certain point forward support that, so not all can benefit from this feature.
So how can I make this change, do I have to uninstall every application from F-droid I have and reinstall them from Neo Store or is there an easier way?

Edit: One other thing, even in Neo Store it seems I can't update without confirmation if I manually update only one app at a time and instead it works if I let it update everything by having "Auto-update" enabled

I have recently stopped drinking alcohol and I am looking for an app to keep track of my progress. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If possible, a widget with days since last drink would be nice!

Edit: Thank you so much for all the suggestions! I found Sobriety to work best for my particular use case.

I've just been using the audio player on ES File Explorer. It tends to forget all its state and has various other UI problems.

I'm interested in an audio player that will keep playlists for me, and remembers its state so I can resume playback. My main use case is to cue up podcasts for driving, so I want it to save my place when I don't finish listening to a whole episode during my drive. Saving my place in multiple playlists would be great too, like an audiobook and a series of podcast episodes would both have saved state so I could switch between them.

Ideally it would also activate playback whenever the phone connects to a particular bluetooth device - my car audio. The use case is I hop in the car, turn on my bluetooth receiver, and audio resumes without me needing to take the phone out of my pocket. Turn off bluetooth, playback stops.

New #Acer #ChromeBook. Can't seem to install @fdroid to get personalDNSFilter installed.

Is there a chrome-book equivlent for easily managing a DNS block list, on device?

Yes, I can run something on my home netwok, but what I'm looking for is an easy, on-device solution, like installing a "local vpn" like #personalDNSFilter does on my phone, into which I can put my own block list, and easily add and remove entries.

Browser extensions not enough, want to intercept all IP.

I saw today that Fossify Gallery is available on Fdroid via the IzzyOnDroid repo. I haven't seen the other apps yet but I'm sure they'll arrive soon enough.

I cannot update some applications. Jitsi and Amethyst for some time. Today Syncthing is failing to update. There is a popup with a question to update the app and after confirming nothing happens. After a few tries, there is a message that the package installer keeps failing and asks if I want to quit the app.

Hi All, wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a FOSS Android/Google TV remote control app? My phone doesn't support IR so looking for a remote control app that can connect via Wifi. TIA!
