Vatta’s War series by Elizabeth Moon is solid. Starts just a tad slow but ramps up quickly into action. I reread it every other year or two.

Wait, I’ve seen this movie! We need Robert* Langdon to find clues in art to solve this!

I was an Ocean Lifeguard for several years after high school. I would do go back to that. Service to others fulfills that contract to make the world a better place. I loved that job, and I know I impacted several families for the better during that time.

I did IT for a school district and staying on top of proxies was a game of whack a mole. I’d do it because I was asked too, but kids will find a new proxy that works. And the little bastards are more clever than we give them credit for.

I feel you. I fly whatever gets me there direct. I’m just a transplant for a term and have Executive Platinum on American but man, red eyes dont work for my business travel. Let me arrive early AM for a business meeting? Nope, that’s means I’m spending an extra day to fly in early and hoping whatever Marriot I’m staying in will let me check in early. Joys of business travel.

Safe travels!

Wait, are the luxury hot pockets not really a luxury? Based in HNL and every flight back to mainland is a hassle, Hawaiian has two directs I fly. I don’t mind southwest for sub 3 hour flights but cross ocean, I want to know my seat assignment and have the extra leg room for my tall-self. Let’s see how this shakes out.

I don’t dream of labor, I dream of service to others that allows me to exist without monetary concern.
