Is this your first economic crisis or something? Do some search-replace work and this article looks like a copy-paste dupe from 2008. Their capitalist society is about to get a market correction as the bubble bursts. That's all.

The real propaganda at work here is that anything negative about China is automatically "red scare" and not just boring old "business news".

Gotta disagree. MS Paint is so blisteringly straightforward for how to use it. Google pointed me towards Preview but there was no menu option to create a new image from the clipboard contents. And then for editing, there was no easy to use tooltray that gives you everything you need right from the start. You could crop and such by going to through menu but you could feel the app hating you for trying to use it that way.

What's the MacBook equivalent of MS Paint? Open it, paste from clipboard, and then do a simple crop/edit? I was looking to do this the other day and nothing seemed to work.

I don't think Macs are as batteries included as some people think.

E-scooters are multimodal friendly and can do a mile without a lot of fuss.

City Beautiful also has a good video on the shitshow that is I-35. TX DOT must have a little shrine to Robert Moses in their lobby.

People moved there because anything inside 128 costs a million dollars. I have friends with pretty good jobs who can't hope to afford to live closer to Boston. MA has their "MBTA Communities" upzoning push but it doesn't go far enough, IMO. We need to eliminate single family zoning entirely.

Folding bikes, sure. Or you get a bikeshare sub. Regular bikes aren't allowed on trains because they're too crowded.

You mean the half of humanity without clean water, reliable electricity, and certainly no Internet emits less CO2 than the top 10% (630M!) wealthiest people in the entire world? There are not 630M Billionaires. There are not even 630M Millionaires. An income of $80-100k puts you at 10% worldwide.

Sure, go right ahead. Tell the family with an income of $80k that they need to cut out their use of private jets and mega yachts. That'll fix climate change right up.

In Florida, they are all compelled by law to be bad schools. Cutting funding will force Florida to make up the difference. Maybe not in whole, but a lot of it.

But that said, I'm not sure if there's an existing legal mechanism to accomplish this and you're sure not going to get a new one through Congress right now.

This is such a crock of shit. If NL needed Federal approval from everyone between Portugal and Greece, your solutions would be pretty DOA too. It has nothing to do with some weird Dutch superiority complex.

Do external displays and docks count?

On phones and tablets, I usually go for wired connections for video because I'm almost always doing it while traveling, where wireless options either will never work or have some PITA yak shaving setup required before they do. If you can plug in an HDMI cable, you know that it will work.
