Definitely keeping a watchful eye on NVK. I gave up on hoping Nvidia would make decent drivers long ago (Wayland support is still heavily lacking).

I'm very empathic, although that's sometimes a double-edged sword. I also teach computers how to do new things (which is just my way of saying "I'm a programmer/software developer").

I'm told that I look pretty decent, though I don't know if I'd ever be able to believe that myself most of the time.

Then finally, I'm a pretty logic-first sort of thinker (another double-edged sword at times), though this comes at the cost at me not really being all that creative/imaginative, which I do wish I was better at.

Isn't the whole point of Phillip's Hue's devices + bridge supposed to be that it could all be operated locally?

The new version of COSMIC is looking great! System76 is putting some fantastic work into it, and really quickly too!

Question though, is the first image in the blog post (under "Swap mode for tiled windows") supposed to be animated? It has a gif extension, but it just seems to be a static image for me in Firefox.

Also a Sync user, for me the only option that came close to Sync and Boost for me was Summit, which people also did not like due to it being closed source.

Thunder is kinda close, as is Connect, but AFAIK Sync is still the only one to have any admin tools built into it (haven't been able to try out Boost for Lemmy yet).

Just as a heads up, while Ruben was the one who made the comment in the screenshot, Ruben isn't the one who posted the screenshot here in the comment you replied to 😅

Oh this looks great, thank you for the shout!

Because Two-Factor Authentication is generally supposed to be under the principle of "Something you have and something you know", the password being the "know", and using a TOTP on an app via your phone would be the "have" (the phone).

I suppose if your email is restricted to the something you have/know it's a bit better, and certainly better than nothing - but not by much.

As far as I had last heard, most laptop (and phones) batteries have charging circuits that are designed to let the battery discharge a bit to prevent the health from being degraded quickly - not all of them actively report that process though and tells the OS it's at 100%, so that the user doesn't wonder why their charge is dropping while it's plugged in.

I'm not sure if that is all the same case, as the only laptop that I've had for a while is a really old MacBook Pro that runs Fedora, but I don't use it super often because I prefer my desktop - so I don't keep up with a lot of laptop-oriented stuff unfortunately.

Out of curiosity, what options were you looking to configure? Since I'm not familiar with these docking stations, I wasn't even aware they had configuration options haha.

Right, just like Denuovo only impacts people who pirate games that use it.

Or DRM only impacts the people who pirate movies and TV.

A tale as old as time itself really.
