I'm at the acceptance stage. My online presence is limited to Lemmy, and one or two occasional comments on youtube.

Yes, I use Amazon, and online banking, and I already know my ssn was leaked, and probably my dna, etc. What can be done about it? Nada, aside from voting when given the chance.

So, fuck it, I keep to myself and avoid giving out solid information but I already know the government probably knows what color my underwear is

My cat complains when I stop giving snuggle-kisses. She's super clingly, but also super adorable.

Most cats, however, prefer not to be snuggle-kissed. I suspect this cat might be one of them

Khajiit has the wares, if you have the coin

I know, right? They keep teasing us. Get to the good part already...

I have painted fingernails. Painted FINGERNAIL PRIDE! Woot

Yeah, IDK. They clearly don't get it, but if it makes them feel better about themselves then whatever. I personally preffer when people announce that they're closed minded. It helps to avoid them, or avoid topics of conversation with them (if they're family or a co-worker that can't be avoided entirely)

I don't shy away from discourse, but when someone won't entertain that they could be holding on to false beliefs, then it isn't really worth my breath

Depends on the game, for me. I couldn't imagine trying to play a game like Stellaris on a console- but a game like Horizons is better suited to a console system. I play Skyrim (yes, I know) with a controller on pc, tho. Husband and I played Diablo4 with me using the console and him using his laptop with my wide-screen moved into the livingroom temporarily

Personally I think both are needed for optimal gaming.

That was my thought as well. I've seen what some homeless people are capable of. (Not trying to dump on unhoused people, here, but there are some seriously ill people left out on the streets). This glass needs to be nearly unbreakable for it to work

Yup.

To clarify I have ADHD, my dad definitely also had it, and my mother has neurodivergent signs as well. My whole family is scattered across the continents, though. My dad was a novelty seeker (as am I) but our reasons for leaving are due to a change in political climate (and the uncertainty that caused)

My sister lives in the origin country, but all of her children have left, each one having gone to a different country (and not where I ended up)

Third edit: one example of why I think my mother shows neurodivergent signs: she won't eat salad in the winter. She thinks you're not supposed to. (She grew up where leafy greens were not available during the winter time, but has internalized that as a rule even though she lives somewhere that lettuce is available year round)

You're welcome. Now I should correct myself, and say "chomasomally" normal because that's what those tests look for

You're thinking of downsyndrome, trisomy ...somenumber. You can test for chromosomal abnormalities, but people with autism are often genetically normal. Just like someone with ADHD.

Yeah, the purpose of the label is entirely defeated here, because almost everything has a label on it. I'm waiting for the day they have planes fly over with banners reading "breathing this air has been known to the state of California to cause birth defects and cancer"

I mean, it would probably be true, but still

Ok, yeah. This is my favorite one. Love it
