https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/abc-news/ https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/fox-news-bias/ These organizations are on very different levels of bias and credibility.

Furthermore, the ABC debate was already agreed to and scheduled. Why on earth would Harris agree to change the debate to a host known for spreading misinformation with an extreme right wing bias?

Trump chose to agree to this debate. He doesnt get to change the agreement after.

Read the first paragraph of the article. He was trying to dodge the ABC debate and instead have it on Fox. Obviously Kamala would not want to have the debate run by a company heavily biased towards her opponent.

Every modern android phone I've used comes with Google Messages by defualt.

[–] priapus@sh.itjust.works 7 points 6 days ago

That is only on rooted roms and ones using MicroG. GrapheneOS is generally not rooted and uses Google Play Services by sandboxing it. I am using RCS on my Pixel 7 running GrapheneOS.

It does work on GrapheneOS, but you need to have Google Play Services installed.

Every android that has Google Play services has RCS, they just need Google Messages to use it.

Why on earth would you not just hand them the phone to put a song in queue. Also what songs are exclusive to a specific streaming service? Just play it on whatever you were already listening on.

I'm interested in them finding a way to get AC working, but I really dislike this method of doing so. There are a ton of kernel variations, so this would really only work on specific distros and devices. This becoming standard would likely mean being unable to use optimized kernels, different schedulers, and other kernel modules like the ZFS drivers.

Yep, and he soon after started praising musk and Twitter, calling it "freedom software" lol. Him leaving was what drew my attention, I like the way it's heading so far.

As far as I understand, the protocol and client apps are completely open souce. I do not believe the Bluesky software is open source, so you could not host an instance the same way you would with Mastodon. I could be missing something or not underatanding, but that's what it seems to me.

A great custom skin, and far better defaults for both privacy and speed, based on Betterfox.

The fact that a fork that simply has a better UI and default settings is gaining so much popularity shows how bad Mozilla is fumbling their product.

Fairly recently, I saw an app that served the same purpose as Barrier or Input-leap, allowing you use one computer to control the keyboard and cursor of multiple. I'm fairly certain it was designed with GTK 4, or maybe 3, and it had Wayland support. I've had no luck getting input-leap working well on my devices, so if anyone knows what app this was (or any other options) I would really appreciate it.

Update: Despite searching for 15 minutes before posting, I found it seconds later, thanks to DDGs reddit bang. It is lan-mouse. Will leave this up in case this software comes in handy for others.

Sharing this video because this game is seriously an underrated gem, I can't recommend it enough. Love supporting an indie dev with such a unique concept.

Do any of you have any software you can recommend for removing unwanted audio tracks and subtitles? Some of my shows and movies have multiple, and the Roku app does not follow the users set default language, leading to it playing the wrong track when autoplaying.

I've tried unmanic, but its unfortunately too heavy for my server, just slows everything to a crawl.

I'm not the creator of this video, but I wanted to share it because Warfork is an incredibly fun game and more people should be playing it. It's not super populated, but you can usually find a good match. Highly recommend trying it if you enjoy (or want to try) arena shooters!

Got this from a post on the alien site. From previous discussion on Lemmy it sounded like Linux users had good things to say about this game but were discouraged about the upcoming FaceIt implementation such that they wouldn't be able to join anticheat enabled matches. Those users and Linux gamers on the fence would probably appreciate hearing this news.

With this announcement on the dev team's community Discord, it appears Linux users will NOT lose access to matches with anticheat.
