Oh boy, I get to excite you with the news of SkyBlivion, a community project to recreate the Oblivion game in the skyrim engine. Its been in development since 2013, and they say they have a 2025 release date scheduled but as I've been following this project and SkyWind (Morrowind remade in Skyrim's engine) for years, I wouldn't hold your breath on a 2025 release.

Don't forget sending that judge along with him.

Or fixing their fucking power grid. Sure hope the voters think about the use of that 220 some million dollars when the power goes out again this winter and they can't heat their house, again.

Wow.. While the action is ethically crappy, I never would have thought that to be an arrestable offense. Using the actresses to generate new nudes and porn scenes? Sure, but to literally cut out the nude scenes from real movies? Kind of crazy to get arrested for that without some sort of warning or cease and desist letter first.

How are they with media playback and battery life when playing media? Been yearning for a cheaper Linux tablet to replace my android one that I use for watching TV shows at night, or on a plane when traveling. if I could replace that with a cheap Chromebook running Linux, that would be a nice compromise.

Usually the best way to find new people is to get into an activity or hobby. Use meetup, or Facebook events, or other local event coordinating services to find activities or events you're interested, go and chat with people, and if you hit it off with people after a few times seeing them, try to make a connection individually outside the group, like meeting up for coffee or a beer, etc.

The hard thing you'll find as you age though, is there's a finite amount of social attention people have with their lives, and as people age and establish their groups of friends, sometimes its hard to break into their circles as they've already kinda maxed out their in life social network. Sometimes they either aren't really looking to add more friends, and include more people in their life, or just don't think to invite you to events etc. Breaking though that, or finding people open to adding more to their social networks, can be hard as you age.

The sad part with Jack Gleeson (Game of thrones guy), I've seen interviews with him about his love of theater and why he was going back from film/TV acting, and he seems like such a nice guy. Really a shame the fanbase reacted so poorly to his amazing portrayal of a terrible person.

Yah, been playing it on my steamdeck, I forgot how hard the first diablo was, haven't played it since in was a kid. I got a warrior all the way to diablo, but couldn't kill him, character wasn't powerful enough. So i started a new game with my character and thought I'd train in nightmare, and come back to kill diablo in normal later. But then I read the game ends in each difficulty when you kill diablo and what ever loot you get, you can't pick up before the ending dialogue screens, and diablo isn't treated as much of a special character in regards to loot so.. I never went back to kill diablo, because what's the point?

Now I got all the way to level 13 in nightmare and stalled again because my character can't survive the balrogs, and isn't powerful enough. Usually when you got stuck in the original game, you could dupe gold or stat increasing potions or something to get your character past their slump, but they fixed the dupe bug in the devilutionx code. Now there's nothing really to help you out when stuck. Crazy thing is sometimes you have to restart because you've run out of gold for healing potions after trying and failing to clear a level.

I might be putting the game down for a bit. It was incredibly fun while I played though.

This is more or less what I was trying to say:

You miss enough updates on a specific package, it may break without a proper tested upgrade path from version 1.5 from 6 months ago and version 1.76 from yesterday.

Rolling release packages tend to break as they get further and further out of sync with what's the latest, if you haven't updated packages in a certain period of time, I don't know what that time period is, since I've never run rolling release, but my point stands. I like that I can leave a laptop sit for a while, pick it up and not break the next time I run updates.

That's what's always stopped me from running a rolling release distro like Arch: the unpredictability of life. I go on vacation for 2 weeks, don't use my computer in that time and when I get back, I'm going to want my computer to work after an update, simple as that.

All of Mike Flannigan's stuff scratch that intrigue itch for me, Haunting of Hill House, Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, The Fall of the House of Usher, all fantastic, the Haunting of Hill House probably the best of those listed.
