I disagree entirely - the first one I saw was comparing the base model iPhone 16 to a flagship Sony from some years back. This was spot on, and I loled hard. Kudos @Spezi@feddit.org

This is literally the point of a homelab. I mean not so much the hardware stuff, that sucks, but hell yeah, breaking shit is how you learn! You do not learn JACK following a tutorial to the letter and everything going perfectly.

I learned about 16 years ago on a Solaris course that /usr wasn't "user", I still say "user", but I'm happy to see the information spreading that that isn't what it actually is.

If you refuse to try hard enough, anything can be "not compatible" with anything.

One of the first times I used it I ended up 30 minutes away from my destination while it INSISTED I was AT my destination.

I've been looking for alternatives ever since, but it seems with Android Auto no matter what you install and use, Maps still gets your data, so I'm kinda ready to just throw in the towel, or get an iPhone just for nav or something ... not sure, I've put a pin in it for now.

Seems getting away from it will be the right move for me though based on your experience!

I believe it may have been E.T. on Atari. That or the Star Wars one we had, which I think may have been Empire

it just shuts up you internal monologue for long enough to get to sleep

Though it takes longer to achieve, it's effects go beyond just helping you sleep - regular meditation, even purely secular "mindfulness meditation" can help achieve the same, with lasting effect, and much wider implications in day to day life.

There is sometimes still an internal monologue, but it's not as powerful or overwhelming, and it's much easier to ignore or shut off.

I was referring to Standard Def, but both are good and pretty light on space!

No. They're the "right now".

The future will be something else.

Have to keep changing it. No idea why, but it keeps us employed, so c'est la vie.
