I think soup was so popular because everyone had bad teeth and trouble digesting, especially as they got older.

I haven't used Amazon in over 5 years now. Unless you've got some truly critical equipment that is only available through their platform, then it's just a matter of buying from other sources, or in most cases, not at all.
I just think back to the 90s, where I wasn't able to get literally anything I wanted unless I went to a big city. Somehow I survived. I was ever happy sometimes, if you can believe it :p
Went in for an in-person prescreening with HR that turned into a surprise panel interview with the tech leadership, which sounds like a good thing, but I'm a severe introvert, so it tilted me to the point that I had a hard time regaining my internal composure.
Conversion was friendly and softball, and whiteboard was a super simple rdbms outer join scenario, but in the moment I couldn't really think straight, so I didn't see any of this.
I'd actually been practicing DSA so one of those problems might have actually been engaging enough to get me to focus.
These always sound neat, but I'm not sure anything could get me to give up my addiction to pencil and paper.
