Not an option for OP - think they're talking about TV

What is the actual evidence trump wants to end democracy? I've only seen an out of context clip so far

Generally hardware compatibility should be identical across all distros, as most drivers are baked into the kernel

The exception being Nvidia drivers, you have to install those yourself pretty much everywhere

Lowest maintenance possible is probably gonna be bazzite as people are saying

The anticheat thing is a pain

I've seen the dragon people a couple times

Are you able to do contactless payments with that os? That's the only reason I haven't switched

[–] flashgnash@lemm.ee 2 points 2 weeks ago

No, I apparently missed that but

Nix is the best solution anyway imo

That sounds brilliant, I wish mine did that, this thing feels like it's made of incredibly bulky paper mache

How does the performance hold up to modern android versions? My 4 is feeling a little slow already and supposedly the 5 has a similar CPU in it

Which one do you have?

I've also noticed the ghost touches on the 4, I don't think it's fixed entirely. Quite often have to physically put down the phone on a table to be able to press a button on the screen because I think it's somehow picking up my palm even when it's not touching the glass at all

I tried taking the whole charging port out and going at it with a little brush, no improvement.

As I use my phone as my primary means of payment I've unfortunately just had to shell out £20 for a new one which I am not happy about (postage, VAT, other bullshit)

Where'd all the comments go

Switch controllers can be weird but that's probably just because I always try to remap them to Xbox layout and certain games disagree

Personally I've been using outlook via pwa for months anyway

If they're gonna put it in an electron container anyway you be may as well cut out the middleman and just use the web app Microsoft's ones are actually quite good now

Anyone know why my dualsense controller won't show up in Bluetooth discovery? Have confirmed it shows up and pairs on my phone and used to show up on my windows machine before I switched

  • It is only on NixOS this seems to happen, both my laptop and PC do this.

  • Yes I have put it into pairing mode, it shows up in discovery on my phone

  • The controller works perfectly when wired

  • Every other Bluetooth device works with no issues

I feel like I'm missing a driver or something but no idea what, can anyone help?

Used to use reWASD and sometimes AutoHotkey on windows, but neither of these have linux support. Googling returns a couple of solutions but they're for x11.

I'm considering just giving up and writing macros in python, but that makes it a great deal more difficult to make quick and dirty scripts

Used to love playing cod zombies with my brother when I was younger, thinking of picking it up again

What's the best version for the zombies mode and why?

Server costs for large instances are a thing, and I think it's a good idea to have an incentive for people to keep hosting them

Can leave it up to each instance how they want to monetise. A lot of instances have donations setup already, could get a "premium" account to help the upkeep of the instance you're on and get rid of the ads

Also if people really hate them adblock exists

I'm trying to move away from Google and other big tech corporations as much as I can without sacrificing practicality but it seems like the only way to make contactless payments is with stock android on a Google approved device.

Is there any alternative out there that would allow me to make contactless payments without these conditions met? (For example, if I put grapheneos on my phone)

They're violating all kinds of data protection laws in refusing to allow users to delete their data

Unsure if this the right place to ask, sorry if it's not have just assumed this is for all open source android stuff.

Have been looking at e-os, and read about it being de-googled, which sounds great but I do still need to use some google services (YouTube, yt music, Google SSO etc)

I use 2fa with my Google account and have the pop up for allow/deny when I sign in, think this is the most frictionless 2fa sign in mechanism I've used yet.

Will this still work/be possible using EOS? And/or is there a way to enable select services but not others

Obviously this is a long shot but is there any way to get game pass working on Linux? I realise most of the games can be played through steam but it is a good way to try out new games cheaply

At the moment it seems like tapping on comment replies in my jerboa notifications tab does nothing. Would be ideal to tap it and it take me straight to the comment with context.

The best I can do is go to the page and scroll down until I find the message. Am I missing something or is this just not a feature?
