So an argument was to have the people who burned all the oil initially sink it, and they're not doing that.

And the President of Guyana also basically said the same "you don't pay us for the forests we maintain". So yeah, maybe it's time to actually pay them like the countries are meant to rather than dishing out 0.00001% of the goal spending on this.

The Franzen quote for the Solarpunks:

“If you’re younger than 60, you have a good chance of witnessing the radical destabilisation of life on Earth – massive crop failures, apocalyptic fires, imploding economies, epic flooding, hundreds of millions of refugees fleeing regions made uninhabitable by extreme heat or permanent drought. If you’re under 30, you’re all but guaranteed to witness it.

You can keep on hoping that catastrophe is preventable, and feel ever more frustrated or enraged by the world’s inaction. Or you can accept that disaster is coming, and begin to rethink what it means to have hope today.”

non-commercial file sharing is not piracy, the industry just re-defined it because they don't want anyone to share stuff.

To maybe make my point clear: The Greens didn't "concede", and neither did JLN. Labor appears to be stating (although the auto-summary below seems to throw some grey area in here) that they're just not interested in a minority government, and I just don't think that's what the voters wanted them to do here.

Step 1: which way is N/S and which hemisphere are you in?

Pretty scummy. We elect representatives and they have a duty to try and form a government. If they don't want to form government then vacate the slot.

A key issue with many PHEVs is that the "P" is in name only. Their batteries are generally too weak to work without the ICE engine at least some of the time (eg high speed up a hill or when partially discharged). In my view this is quite deceptive, as many people would think (and many PHEVs allow) that you could effectively use the PHEV as a "pure" EV for the majority use case.

Was Empress also the one who did the unhinged "you are all my simps now" rant thing?

Geologists? Don't mining companies own them?

Hello. The Verge is shit and manipulative in the way they framed this, but SBI is a beat up. It's the usual gamers not really knowing how games are made.
