Haha, sorry! I know people like to give very specific meanings to words like a few, several, or some, but colloquially to me they are intentionally ambiguous and all basically mean "a small amount, more than 2"

I respect the struggle you went thru and your choices for yourself. As someone who dealt with alcoholism you were exposed to the worst of it. However, some of us like to enjoy life and get a buzz on without hurting anyone and I don't think that's abusive.

I didn't realize she was getting a lot of hate, but I guess it doesn't surprise me.

We're all hustling to make ends meet. She's doing her thing trying to get by like the rest of us. There's no shame in that.
