You can embed images, using Markdown ![](image URL), same as here in Lemmy, also several themes. But yes, it isn't part of the fediverse.

Another possibility, if you have an own host, is using the Blue Velvet Editor, its a complete wordprozessor which works right in your browser (PC and Mobile), it saves the documents locally in Html format by default. So you can upload it as is to an host, as webpage. Free, private, no account and blazing fast.

Yes, the Honeypot system, an invisible part, only visible for bots, they use it and get blocked. easy.

Captchas are obsolete novadays, current AI and even bots solve them better than any human. To avoid spam they are useless more and more, better as done by some forums, they simply wait 30-45 minutes before sending the activation mail, no spambot with an 15 minute mail will recieve it. Another one is the honeypot system to block bots.

DeviantArt and others are full of images made by MB3d, Mandelbulber, fr0st and JWildfire fractal generators, if you don't want to make your own eg.

Bees are more usefull for us, not for the nature. Wasp also are hardworking animals (ants belong to the same family), but their use in the nature is different, not for pollination, but same as other predators, but for the population balance of other species among others.

No, space is hard because of radiation and great distances, but a hole in the hull of the ship, for example due to a micro meteorite, can even be covered with a piece of duct tape. A hole in the hull of a submarine however is a catastrophe, if it does not directly cause the hull to implode, the water that enters has enough pressure to cut you in two.

Peer-to-peer file transfers in your browser Cooked up by Alex Kern & Neeraj Baid while eating Sliver @ UC Berkeley.

Using WebRTC, FilePizza eliminates the initial upload step required by other web-based file sharing services. When senders initialize a transfer, they receive a "tempalink" they can distribute to recipients. Upon visiting this link, recipients' browsers connect directly to the sender’s browser and may begin downloading the selected file. Because data is never stored in an intermediary server, the transfer is fast, private, and secure. (Your PC must be online while the recipient download the file(s), if you shutdown the PC or goes offline, the download also stops)

You can selfhost it or use the official instance
