hmm maybe its the portable version then..I can click and drag just fine. I can also adjust it with superkey+arrow keys or with kwin.

Been using it as my only browser since launch, super pleased with the experience so far. Really hope this sticks around for a long time.

Condoms are for dicks*

[–] Sunny 4 points 2 months ago

whaaat no way, are you saying Sony's new release Concord isn't killing it with high player counts right now??

Honestly whoever's making these decisions must have a potato as a head.

While i do agree, snake looks a lot better too. I just wish it was possible to navigate through each parts of the word more easily with ctrl+arrow. That would make it the superiour choice imo.

ive seen it be called both screaming and train case, not sure what the most used term is though.

That's an interesting logic. You do realise that at least 50% of the groceries in your local store are likely to have been advertised somewhere. Guess you should stop buying groceries too..

lmao, good one!

it did...they have changed their website a lot these last few days.

Hiya,

I'm using Firefox Flatpak, but am not able to resize Firefox, only when its been sized into a set proportion via KWin (tiling manager). As soon as I move the Firefox out of the set "zone" I can freely resize FF again. Anyone know whats going on here? I am always using multiple windows of Firefox open, and moving them around on multiple monitors, so for me this is rather important. This is on Bazzite.

Thanks for any suggestions

Do they actually have ads? I'll just whitelist the website ofc, but was a little shocked to GoodbyeAds block this tbh.

Disclaimer: I know TurboVPN and the others mentioned are not good services to use, I'm strictly doing research. I'm not looking for VPN recommendations.

Genuinely wondering how these numbers are possible? 300M downloads and 8.35M reviews...? How?! Not even Amazon Shopping app or Disney+ have this many reviews. And surely NordVPN and Express VPN are considerable larger in both users and resources? I've never seen a sponsorship, not even once, from Turbo VPN. Are these numbers regional based? Is Turbo VPN more known in other regions? Is it easy to spoof these numbers?

Appreciate any comments on the matter, and have a nice day 🌻

Hiya peeps, my mouse mat has served its time, and it is time for a new one. Until now, I've had one of these huge ones, that cover half the desk. But I think this time I'm gonna aim for a normal-sized one. I'd also like to avoid cheap Chinese wares or anything low-quality. Anyone got any nice recommendations for mousepads? Do you have soft ones or hard ones? wink Are there any brands out there that stand out among the plethora of choice in terms of quality?

The most important aspect of it for me is the "feel good" factor.

edit: Bonus points if there are any Linux-oriented ones, as in merch. And minus points for amazon links :>

Lemmy know :)

Hiya, so quickly wondering wether you have enabled this or not. Obviously it's not great for privacy, but it also seems very nice to have for image cloud solutions, so that images can be sorted based on location. Are there any good solutions for this? I'd like have it enabled, but also afraid of sharing images with sensitive metadata in them.

Edit: As I am in a rush to get this fixed I ended up doing a fresh install of Tumbleweed.

No idea, why this has happened. Just rebooted the computer after not having used it for a week or so and not all of a sudden not able to use the terminal at all. How do I go about troubleshooting this? Other terminals I've downloaded seem to be fine.

Any help appreciated.

Hiya, just bought a new sound bar for my TV. And with it, as expected, came this "Register your product" pamphlet, and had me wondering how many actually register their products? I've personally never done this before, as in my country we have 2 years of warranty on everything we buy, so not really ever felt the need for registering products. But I am curious, do you register your products? Should I?

Hiya, just got NPM installed and working, very happy to finally have SSL certs on all of my serivces and proper URLs to navigate to them, what a breeze! However, as I am still in the learning process: I am curious to know when to enable these three toggles and for what services. I assume the "Block Common Exploits", can always be turned on. But unsure about the two others. Some applications have not worked until I turned on the Websockets Support, but I dont really know what it does, nor do I know what applications need this in order to fully work. Are there any thumb rules for these things?

Appriciate any pointers! 🌻

Hiya!

I've just setup FreshRSS and subscribed to a few feeds I like, and while FreshRSS is great for doing heavy lifting on the backend side of things, I'm not 100% pleased with the frontend side of things. Some articles are loading the full article, while others are loading half or a third, having me to either scroll a lot or click to open more. This left me wondering if there are any good clients that can connect to FreshRSS? I have Read You on Android, but I mostly consume my news on my PC/Laptop. Is it best to try to tweak FreshRSS or do you have any recommendations for frontends?

Lemmy know! 🌻

Interesting findings within a VPN app (self.reverseengineering)

cross-posted from: https://slrpnk.net/post/8481443

I am currently investigating and reverse engineering free VPNs for a master thesis, and just came across something I thought I'd share. Not sure if I'll name-drop the VPN that this code is from, but it's not the one mentioned within the hardcoded links... Nor do I encourage visiting any of the links in the screenshot.

I'm sharing this as a warning as to never use free vpns! They are most often the opposite of what they promise to be. (by free I do not mean the free versions of premium services). But either way; be careful about your VPN choice, as they have access to a lot of sensitive data. I'm sure most peeps here know of this already, but next time you hear someone using a free vpn, let them know...

This first image/code was sitting inside a file called NetworkModule, with some hella weird external links.

  1. addrDOTcx, seems to have been linked to malware? Comes up flagged as malicious a few times on VirusTotal.
  2. freevpnDOTzone, seems to be another free possible malicious VPN service, might investigate this one later.
  3. bigbrolookDOTcom, seems to longer be a registered domain. But wtf? Was this VPN service linked to p*rn??

IMAGE HERE; Don't visit these links unless you know what you're doing.

Furthermore, there is this interesting find; Now I am no expert coder, frankly quite the amateur. But does the below code really mean what I think it does? Seems like it could be creating a fake connection?

Is used once here;

Stay safe 🌻

edit: please see comments for more informed insights.

This is more-less normal behaviour it seems, considering it is a local address it is probably used for testing purposes or making the app not crash if a connection cant be established.
