Breaking News: House Republicans introduce bill to install Viagra dispensers in Capitol and House office building bathrooms

Pantheon season 1 has been added to Netflix today, but season 2 has not (and might never be). Both seasons are on Prime Video but it is region-locked, though I'm not sure which regions it is available in.

Pantheon is a fantastic sci-fi show with really smart themes that has been completely screwed over by streaming services. The writing is incredible and contains some very intelligent satire and critiques of big tech corporations, and even dips its toes into geopolitics (not even kidding, the Israel-Palestine conflict becomes a plot point in season 2, and this was written prior to Oct. 7).

If you want to watch the series in its entirety then piracy is a must for the vast majority. Needless to say, I highly recommend watching.

It's western animation, and hey, why not broaden your horizons? There has been lots of great western animation coming out recently, if you turn your nose up at all of it you'll be missing out.

That definitely happens a lot with Democratic politicians, but I don't think that's what happened here. Because this is specifically targeted at the Capitol and House office buildings and will likely only affect McBride, backing down here is a purely symbolic retreat. It's not like she's backing down from fighting for trans rights as a whole (at least, I don't expect that she will).

I've been an evangelist for this show all over lemmy because I'm desperate for people to talk about it with, lol. This is great news, I hope this will help it find a larger audience.

For those who don't want to fork over the Netflix subscription fee, there's always piracy. Given the anti-corporate themes of the show I doubt the writers would disapprove.

Edit: Just read that season 2 won't be added to Netflix right away (or maybe at all) so yeah, piracy is required if you want to see the fantastic conclusion.

Of course, they were supposed to do performative activism to give the museum free publicity, not real activism that challenges the capitalist status quo responsible for the climate crisis that the museum leadership benefits from.

Oh, this isn't r/AITAH? Sheesh, thought I somehow stumbled back onto reddit.

I grew up Southern Baptist and it was common for people to be re-baptized if they had doubts or left the faith after their first time. The theological justification is that they must not have truly accepted Jesus into their hearts if the first baptism didn't "take," so if you asked to be re-baptized the pastor would ask you a bunch of questions to make sure you're actually serious this time.

I was baptized when I was 7 and have since left the church, but some of my family have begged me to come back and truly accept Jesus into my heart so I can be re-baptized.

Completely agree the silence of most House Democrats is shameful, but as for McBride, she isn't giving them the reaction they wanted. This was intended to target her specifically and create a situation where they could point at her response and go "see, the radical transgender has infiltrated government and now he's trying to invade the women's restroom!!1!!!1!!11" Using her response to pivot to economic issues and call them out for trying to distract from the same takes some of the wind out of their sails. It would be different if this legislation wasn't so blatantly targeted.

They'll still try, but it will be harder for them to play the victim here.

I saw this before but didn't see that the intruder was wearing a ski mask. JFC, trigger-happy piggies are really not the brightest bulbs.

Isn't that the litterbox infamous for murdering cats?

I'm looking for software for making small-scale maps / designs. Say for example I wanted to map out a small-ish plot of land with various markers indicating features of the site. Another requirement is that is must have the capability to depict elevation. Others have recommended map-making software for dungeons and dragons, but of the ones I can find they are either paid / subscription models or they strictly adhere to a grid system that makes it impossible to use for my purposes.

Does anyone have some good recommendations?

Edit: It doesn't have to be a single piece of software necessarily. If anyone has recommendations for a particular workflow (like for example if you know some good open source drawing software I could use to draw over the top of a topographic map) I'm interested in that as well.

More pictures available if needed. I broke a few open that were in rougher shape and they are solid white and spongy all the way through. Found in open woods in West Kentucky.

Thinking about frying these up and seeing how they taste but want a bit more assurance that I'm not taking a huge risk doing so. I couldn't find these in my National Audubon Society Field Guide so I'm a bit reluctant to take the chance.

It's a very vibrant red underneath, I'm too curious not to try and narrow down the species.
