A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

Here in Quebec they're ban because of forest fire so we get to keep our fingers (at the cost of permanent lung damage)!
I'm pretty sure someone already lost a finger testing a firework
Phew! Luckily I am not American.
Just make sure not to get caught by the French, they might separate you from your longbow-firing fingers!
This is a distressing thought.
We do the same for new years tho.....
America can't hold a Roman candle to Holland at New Years. I know my way around fuerwerken but the Dutch go absolutely next level. I was completely amazed.
Highly likely a few other appendages go missing too.
