Welcome to our virtual third place, The Café.

Come on in and make a new human connection over a cup of coffee (or Teh Tarik). This is a casual community, do whatever you want, share your oyen pics, your frustrations, and even organize a weekend picnic with the community. The world is your oyster.

Rules are simple, be kind and civil with each other. As with any other café, rude patrons will be kicked out.

I never thought I would get addicted to a hobby that requires spending money ~~other than maimai~~, but here I am already planning on my next iem or dac buy. I bought one in April, and already bought another at the start of this month 😭

[–] weecious@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That's an expensive hobby you got yourself into.

[–] Naomikho@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

yeah, i don't think I'll go to the higher price ranges :(

[–] weecious@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That's what everyone said.

[–] Naomikho@monyet.cc 1 points 1 year ago

I have 80,00 Lazcoins but I don't know what people use these for. I can't pay bills with these, the groceries calculation works out so much more expensive due to high shipping fee to this island. Very few sellers let me use coins too, even if I have electronics I want to buy, the reputable sellers don't let me use coins. Every month these coins just expire.. Why these coins even exist? What do Malaysians use these for?

[–] DerpyPoint@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

LazCoins sounds like a way worse scam compared to min spend vouchers

So many traffic today aaaaa

[–] weecious@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

All the tourists in Melaka lol

[–] munkkey@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

*checks island traffic*

The bridges are fine but George Town is busier than usual I guess.

[–] weecious@monyet.cc 1 points 1 year ago

I guess the crowds had crossed over the bridge yesterday

Update: I'm going home. The pain is unbearable.

[–] Annoyed_Crabby@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Dang. Rest well wee. Got med?

[–] weecious@monyet.cc 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Got, antibiotics. Gonna pop Ponstan when I'm home. I don't think Panadol would be sufficient

[–] OldManGenghis@monyet.cc 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yo Ponstan and antihistamine are my go to meds when my sinuses are acting up.

How you doing now?

[–] weecious@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Just vegetating. It's not as painful, but can still feel it. How's Johor?

[–] OldManGenghis@monyet.cc 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Hope you get better soon.

It's alright, traffic is much much crazier than KL but the roads are less confusing. Haven't have the chance to explore outside JB yet, maybe when my car is finished.

[–] weecious@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Thanks dude. A good night rest helps, the pain has subsided pretty much.

Your car is back in the workshop? I've never been to Johor much, but from my impression, it seems like a place that is only accessible through cars. Hopefully your car will be fixed soon

[–] OldManGenghis@monyet.cc 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Happy to hear that.

My car just needed a set of rims and tires and front bumper. Probably can finish it next month. Thankfully the place I'm staying have a bus stop nearby, it's just one stop to my workplace. Pretty bored on my free time though but my friend who is a local sometimes ajak lepak around JB.

[–] weecious@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That's nice. Is your accommodation sourced by your company? And it's good you have a local friend who can introduced you around. How do you like it compared to Klang?

[–] OldManGenghis@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Found it myself on Facebook, luckily it's close and cheap.

Bit of a nightmare to drive but the roads seems easier to remember compared to Klang. The workshop is great though, much smaller than Klang but I like the culture here compared to Klang, less politics and people are willing to help you.

[–] weecious@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Sounds like you landed at a great place to work. Why do you say it's a nightmare to drive?

[–] OldManGenghis@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

People here are relentless, in KL people would give way and there's somewhat order. It's chaos here, people don't give way you have to b aggressive too.

[–] weecious@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago

That explains Johor drivers in Klang Valley.

[–] Naomikho@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Hope it gets better soon :(

[–] weecious@monyet.cc 1 points 1 year ago

Fingers crossed it does, because I can't bear the pain

[–] Naomikho@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago

Yesterday was a productive day for the post scheduler UI feature(still a lot of work left sadly), and today is time fo TGIF mode. Hope this means a transition into a smooth weekend.

[–] weecious@monyet.cc 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Gum is swollen. Should I see a doctor or a dentist? 🤔

[–] Annoyed_Crabby@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You should see a Doctor dentist🙈

Maybe dentist, could be an infection.

[–] weecious@monyet.cc 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Saw a dentist just now. It's related to my sinusitis that's causing pain top the roots. It's never been this bad.

[–] dukeGR4@monyet.cc 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

so would that be sth they can look after? or you have to go back the doctor?

[–] weecious@monyet.cc 1 points 1 year ago

Yes, they can. They prescribe me antibiotics.
