Is it worth sticking with the Dark Tower if I'm not completely into the Gunslinger? (self.stephenking)

I'm not saying I dislike it but I'm finding it hard to get through and it's incredibly short. I enjoyed the first chapter in Tull and I enjoyed the desert scenes but since then I've been finding it hard to focus on. I like the characters too but it just feels a bit... Boring in places?

Is the entire series like this?

Edit: I've now finished it and I'm reading 11.23.66 but not sure if I should read The Drawing Of The Three after.

Biased here since The Gunslinger is what got my into Stephen King, but stick with it. The books get better as they go on and you start to get into the Stephen King book universe later down the line.

Thank you! I'm sticking with it. I'm going to start The Drawing Of The Three after I've finished 11.22.63
