So … protest off campus.
Edit: Since people seem to be misunderstanding me, allow me to clarify. Protesting off campus is an escalation. "You don't want protests on campus? Fine, we'll take it to Main Street, and get way more people involved."
Sure, or they could even protest separately at home where no one can see or hear them. That'll be effective too!
You do realize that most public places are not on university campuses, right? And that protesting on campus is likely to only reach other students? And that most people are not university students?
