I've wondered if we should change the term to anti-job. I've many times seen people argue that anti-work must mean people becoming useless blobs that exist in some sort of permanently static state. Clarifying that actually - doing things - is not what anti-work is against seems to be of importance. Maybe that relatively small change can help avoid the misunderstanding.

That's extremely intriguing. I agree with the other commentator that this sounds like emergence and also with the writers that it seems like a sensible conclusion (or law) of evolutionary theory. I disagree with the other commentator that philosophers shouldn't be allowed to ponder this phenomena without what they seem to be implying as official physics credentials. That's classist.

In my experience as an American, too many people do not know. They live in these extremely weird tightly controlled bubbles of reality. Utopianism is incredibly important, but so is recognizing dystopia. It's like communism without the anarchism, or anarchism without the communism. It's an ideological hole. We need both perspectives to build a healthier society. I think people will not feel moved to change and push for utopia if they do not understand why they must change.

That's a hell of deep dive on the subject. Thanks for sharing.

If he's gonna use marijuana as an election pawn, he should have the balls to actually legalize it. Such a cheap shot.

Reminds me of Sad Meal - Platinum Blonde (a song).

This is a pretty good report on the biggest problem with mixing education and heavy capitalism. Knowledge and truth don't matter to most everyone when they're getting paid big time for it not to. I don't trust any colleges in this country.

Definitely dark comedy.

I've definitely got to look around more, haha. It does seem rather quiet though. I think the solarpunk community could be a real help to the voidpunk community. It's such an environmentally aware, ethically material, and caring form of punk, and that seems to me to be what us voids have struggled most to find in the world around us.
