Two octopuses were rescued by walkers after they were spotted crawling along a beach.

The cephalopods had washed up at New Quay, Ceredigion, where they were found by Fran Fitzpatrick and Joshua Pedley.

They had decided to see if there was anything interesting on the sands after Storm Franklin and were able to help them back into the sea.

I've been warning about this for nearly a decade. The octopuses are testing us, and it won't be long before we start seeing a mass invasion coming in from the west.

Just need to point out I have never, and never will eat octopus. And nor should anybody else.

I for one, welcome our new octopus overlords.

I had octopus twice when I was very young and on my own in California for the first time. It was very tasty. I absolutely regret it. edit: Lord Cthulhu will come for me, I am sure of it
