The dismantling of the public sector through privatization for profit. Like Argentina but with more racism.

Well you didn’t hold your politicians accountable for decades (if ever), so here you are. A joke of a leadership for a joke an electorate.

Every time you think you're in the Bad Place you realize you're in the Worse Place

Oz has been a major supporter of Medicare Advantage, the program’s private sector alternative that has grown in popularity but has come under intense scrutiny for care denials and alleged overbilling.

Found the grift

FWIW, I’m holding a huge amount of cash in my portfolio, waiting for trump to fuck shit up.

As the saying goes...

You elect a clown... you get horrible nightmares then get dragged down into a sewer to live forever and ever and ever....

🥺 🤡🎈

Or something like that.

I'd prefer Pennywise - at least it'd be over more quickly.

[–] UpperBroccoli@lemmy.blahaj.zone 15 points 3 days ago

Okay, now you're truly fucked.

[–] Peppycito@sh.itjust.works 9 points 3 days ago (1 children)

So what the hell does CMS stand for? Shouldn't the article mention that?

[–] CaptDust@sh.itjust.works 17 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

It's detailed in the last line, but CMS is Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

As CMS Administrator, Oz would oversee a broad agency that provides coverage through Medicare, Medicaid and other programs to more than 160 million people.

[–] GhiLA@sh.itjust.works 6 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Ok, I know he's full of crackpot shit.

But what does Mehmet(lol) Oz think of Medicare and Medicaid? What is his stance?

I get he's going to push crazy tabloid products on seniors, but... the actual, coverage part. Got a mom.

[–] CaptDust@sh.itjust.works 14 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

He's promoted unproven medical treatments for personal gain, opposed the Affordable Care Act, and supports the expansion of advantage plans aka privatized/subsidized medicare. Pretty mainline republican, but all this likely means more money out of your mom's pocket for care.

[–] GhiLA@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 days ago

Oh, I don't doubt that. We've been lucky enough that most of her issues are pretty mainline common stuff and she has nothing exotic going on. Just diabetic and old. No miracles cures there.

I feel for people with more complicated healthcare needs, who are in a position where one little law change could wreck their entire insurance plan, like people with home health needs or dialysis, or cancer treatment.

You have got to be shitting me.

Turning America’s government into Richard Dawson, host of Running Man.

This is a fucking clown show.

[–] eugene171@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

Is Trump just scrolling through the Behind the Bastards episode list?

[–] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Damn, I was really rooting for either Doctor Rockso (the rock and roll clown) or Dr. Suess.

[–] droporain@lemmynsfw.com 1 points 3 days ago

I'm dr rockso!

[–] CheeryLBottom@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I guess Dr Seuss isn't available

[–] Nougat@fedia.io 7 points 3 days ago

I'm not saying he wasn't without his problems, but Theodor Geisel was anti-fascist. I think that rules him out as a possible Trump appointment.

[–] pingveno@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

Even Reddit's /r/conservative was trashing this one. Trump may have actually managed to have gone too far.

[–] markstos@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

A content management system admin? Painful.

He only picked him because he found out Gregory House didnt sexually harass real patients and coworkers. Had to go back to chopping block and find something else. So he found someone will allegations of performing experiments on live puppies, pigs, and such. Don't worry, they were just injecting them to cause cardiovascular issues to see what would happen during their studies.

[–] Bluefalcon@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 3 days ago

Just be out Dr. Thunder, Dr. Seuss, and WebMD.
