Wait, I have to pick one? No way! So:
Loom (PC) It Came From The Desert (Amiga) Wings (Amiga) Amber: Journeys Beyond (PC and the first game to truly scare the shit out of me) I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream (PC)
Off the top of my head :)
Loom was such a great game. Such a unique system for interaction and a really compelling story.
It love the story too, it was really sweet in a way. I'm kind of surprised they never adapted it to film, but maybe Bobbin wasn't the most charismatic main character for it considering you never see his face!
Plus it had nice music, lore and even voice over on few versions. I wonder what happened that it never took out until the scummvm player became a reality..
