All the niche communities. I've been here for a couple months now but boy is that what we need.
That's what I think too, I think we need more of them before this will hit wider adoption. There are several general instances, which are great, but we need to start seeing more specific ones. I'm thinking ones that aren't necessarily for "Sign up here for my instance" but more "Hey, here's a few communities you can subscribe to if you're interested"
niche communities are [both] hard AND easy.
some niche communites have a hard time staying active on ordinary reddit. (so therefore what does that mean for lemmy's sucess rate)
on the otherhand:
reddit nich communites are such a horrific failure , in many cases, that literally one active poster would make lemmy versions massively superior to shitty mainstream reddit.
Have you tried reaching out to them to talk to them about Lemmy?
