Indeed.
That said, if you spent a certain amount of money in PoE1 over its entire lifetime, you dont have to pay which is nice.
Specially since both are f2p as well. So everyone can be included if you dont want to spend a dime.
The more hilarious part to me is having pay2beta in a fully priced game.
What was it, $100 for d4? Gotta buy the base game + beta access when it came out?
I try not to think about Blizzard. They got me for a year in middle school. Will not forgive them.
I still play diablo 3 sometimes. Or hell even d2. I played d4 after a bit when it was clear it wasnt a complete craphsoot. Probably have a couple hundred hours in it. Was a fun game, but it cant hold a candle to my nostalgia-glasses sadly so I've "beat" it.
I dont see myself ever going back to it unless they add enough content that can justify another purchase. The new expac aint it for me.
Poe is f2p and if i dont play it for a year, theres 3~ new patches/expacs/seasons worth of content.
Ill gladly spend another $10-20+ on it for another hundred or two hours no question. At no point do i feel like i NEED to spend money though and thats the point.
Id rather buy 5 indie games than a d4 expac kinda thing.
